The New Cleveland RTZ 2: A Modern Wedge with Classic Refinements
Built with feedback from the best players in the world and refined by the man who started it all, the RTZ 2 wedges lead Cleveland's next defining chapter.
Great products don't need to be reinvented, and in most cases, simple evolutionary changes go a long way in improving performance. It also reinforces how designers and engineers have confidence in their creations, which is something golfers want to have in their short game too.
This is why with Cleveland's new RTZ 2 wedges, they're not looking to transform their wedge lineup - they're simply finding all the ways to make it better. And, to help lead the way is the man who started it all, Roger Cleveland.
I've been fortunate to design wedges that have been trusted by generations of golfers, but the work is never finished. RTZ 2 Wedges reflect everything we've learned along the way, combining classic wedge design principles with modern performance to help golfers play their best scoring shots.

What's New With RTZ 2
As the name not so subtlely acknowledges, the RTZ 2 is the next iteration of the RTZ line, and with it comes internal and external changes to boost performance through each model and loft, including an expanded grind package (more on that in a sec).
The biggest change inside RTZ 2 is the newest version of ZipCore, ZipCore iQ which configures the hosel core depending on the loft. With previous models the Zipcore had a standard configuration through the line, but by tweaking the mass properties based on loft engineers were able to produce wedges that offer even more consistent results in launch, spin, and dispersion.
RTZ 2 Grinds
As for those previously mentioned grinds, there are five to choose from, including Cleveland's core Full, Mid, and Low, The more bounce the better for softer conditions, and moving into less bounce for the mid and low options.
There is also the Adapt with includes full face grooves and a sole designed to be optimized for open faced shots, and the reintroduction of the famous 588 grind for golfers with a more moderate to shallow attack in to the ball, looking for versatility around the green without sacrificing full swing confidence.
There isn't a single wedge that works for every golfer. Players have different swings, play different conditions, and see different shots around the greens. RTZ 2 Wedges are built around that reality. By expanding our grind offerings and bringing back the 588, we're giving golfers more opportunities to find a wedge that fits how they play.

What Stays The Same
On top of the ZipCore iQ improvements the RTZ 2 wedges still feature many of Cleveland's proven wedges technology including:
HydraZip & Rotex Milling- Loft-specific face blasting and laser-milled lines to maximize spin in wet conditions plus roughened face texture to promote predictable spin and stopping power.
UltiZip Grooves - Loft Specific groove geometries throughout the line to produce more consistent launch and spin based on the most individual wedge needs.
RTZ 2 Custom Options
We can't forget about Cleveland's large custom program, which allows golfers to fully customize their wedges with stamping, ferrules, grips, shafts, and even etching.
Plus with the Tour Rack wedges, you can even get additional custom grinds options, including a new Roger Cleveland grind.
Price & Availability
The Cleveland RTZ 2 wedges will be available in Tour Satin, Black Satin, and Tour Rack Raw finishes with lofts ranging from 46° to 64°. The Tour & Black Satin wedges will be priced at $199.99, while the Tour Rack finish will be priced at $219.99.
