Callaway Quantum Series Is All About Speed

If there is one world that has propagated the early 2026 golf club release cycle, it's speed, and for good reason. Speed, at least when applied properly, helps to make the game of golf easier, and with Callaway's newest Quantum line of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons, new technologies are making everything faster.

Also let me promise you, the reader, that not once will I use a quantum speed pun - I mean it.

What's New With Callaway Quantum?

Two words: Tri-Force, (maybe that's actually just a compound word), but either way, the new Quantum drivers are all about Tri-Force face technology that layers three individual materials to create a face system designed to deliver faster rebound and more speed around a larger area.

How Tri-Force Face works

Quantum Tri-Force driver faces are a combination of three materials; high-strength titanium, Poly Mesh, and Carbon Fiber, which when assembled in that order (the face layer that you see is still titanium) creates a reinforced face structure. It's just like with cake, more layers are better because you get more icing, or maybe thats a bad analogy.

Another way to think about it is like plywood. Sure a single solid piece of wood can be strong but thanks to modern engineering, multilayered plywood relative to solid wood is stronger and also more flexible, while also being thinner and lighter. And in many ways thats how Tri-Force works.

When the face compresses at impact the poly-mesh and the carbon fiber load under tension like a spring being stretched. Since Carbon fiber has extremely high tensile strength and anisotropic properties (ok I'll admit I did some extra research to use big words) meaning it has super strong directional strength relative to the parallel direction of the fibers, it rebounds back into shape faster.

This face system allows for the titanium face with Ai topography to be 14% thinner than the previous generation Elyte resulting in more speed more often.

Quantum Driver Models

MAX (Core Head)

Optimized for a balance of speed and consistency, the Quantum Max provides a confidence-inspiring look from address, plus a rear adjustable weight to dial in directional ball flight

MAX D (Draw Head)

The Max D offers internal draw bias weighting and a slightly shallower profile to provide high launch and more direction control for those looking to reduce a fade.

MAX Fast (All Gas)

With a lighter overall weight and aerodynamic shallower profile, the MAX Fast is designed to help golfers gain speed without sacrificing distance.

Triple Diamond (Low Spin)

Designed for faster players who are looking for control and a stronger, flatter ball flight. An adjustable rear weight allows for either a neutral or fade bias ball flight.

Triple Diamond Max (Low Spin & Forgiveness)

Think if this one as if the Triple Diamond and Max had a baby - it's literally in the name). The TD Max offers a slightly larger and shallower profile than the standard triple diamond without losing the low spin properties better faster players prefer.

The Max,Max Fast, and Max D drivers are priced at $649 each, while the triple diamond models are priced at $700.

Quantum Fairway Woods & Hybrids

Although the fairway woods and hybrids don't utilize Tri-Force face because their smaller size doesn't generate the same benefit from the technology, there is still a lot of upgraded tech.

It all starts with Speed Wave 2.0, which pushes more internal mass forward in the head to generate ideal ball flights through the various models, but also allows for more compliance (face flex) on the bottom of the face to maintain more ball speed on the dreaded low-face strike.

As far as the outside of the head, the full line of Quantum fairway woods features a redsigned step sole to prevent the club from slowing down through the turf and to help from more varied truf conditions including bad lies. Last but not least a technology Callaway have built their entire woods line around, Ai-Optimized face topography to increase launch and spin consistencies around the head.

All of the driver models except for the TD Max carry over to the fairway woods with the Max & Max D priced at $400 each, and the Max Fast and Triple Diamond Priced at $450

Quantum Irons

What's interesting with the Quantum irons, which come in Max, Max OS, and Max Fast models, is that they're a true combination of new and old.

For example, a 360° undercut design isn't new, but to provide faster speeds and more forgiveness, the undercut itself has been moved farther back along the sole and into the cavity create more flex.

Other technologies also include Callaway's urethane microspheres for a softer yet powerful feeling at impact, and a next-generation Ai Face design to once again (not trying to sound like a broken record) help deliver added forgiveness and consistency in launch and spin.

One more new addition to the Quantum irons comes directly from the Callaway X-Forged line, and that is a progressive tri-sole design to improve turf interaction through and after impact. The tri-sole adds bounce to the front of the sole while also increasing curvature and reducing interaction of the rear.

Max and Max OS Irons are priced at $1150 for a 7-piece set in steel and $1250 for a 7-piece set in graphite. The Max Fast irons come stock with graphite and are priced at $1350 for a 7-piece set.
