The Best Timeless Gifts For Golfers

Ok, so I already broke my own rule about batteries since these are quartz watches, but when it comes to cool timepieces, and ones that won’t break the bank, a Masters watch can be a great gift. The Masters has been issuing watches for each tournament since the early 2000s, and between the standard models and the more limited numbered options, they can be found with a little hunting.

Since I’m a massive golf club nerd, it should be no surprise that my favourite two golf books revolve around golf clubs.

At the top of my reding list is “And The Putter Went PING” - a complete history of Ping golf, along with its founder Karsten Solheim and his family. Not only are you bound to learn something about the GE engineer turned golf club designer, but it’s also a great reference if you’re on the hunt for a classic Ping club.

My other favorite is “The Golf Club: 400 Years of the Good, the Beautiful & the Creative” Its not only filled with some of the most beautiful photography or unusual club designs you’ll ever see, but it also shows that some of golfs most modern designs have historial roots, like insert putters, and moveable weights.

Last but not least, what’s more timeless than art?

Two of my favorites for creating beautiful wall decor are Good Boy Originals by AJ Voelpel and golf course photography by The Fired Egg Golf. Good Boy prints offer detailed photography, ranging from golf pencils to matchbooks, and can also provide commissioned work. As for The Fried Egg, they have high-definition drone photography from many of the top golf courses from all over the world, and some hidden gems along the way.
